2018 Astronomy Lecture Series

We're excited to announce the 2018 Carnegie Astronomy Lecture Series. This will be the 16th season of the popular Series, and once again, we’re delighted to partner with The Huntington Library at their beautiful venue. Since the past year has seen some of the most-revolutionary discoveries in the history of astronomy, the 2018 Series promises to be especially exciting; it includes two of our finest young postdoctoral fellows—Drs. Marja Seidel and Maria Drout—along with top scientists from Harvard and JPL.

The four Astronomy Lectures this year will be on April 9, April 23, May 7, and May 21, in the Rothenberg Auditorium at The Huntington, and will also be streamed live online.

While the Series is free, ticket reservations are required, and will be available for each individual Lecture in advance (instead of the entire Series at once). This year we are using Eventbrite for tickets, and links and information for ticketing page can be found on the Lecture Series Page, so don't forget to mark your calendars!

Don't worry if you aren't local to Pasadena or can't make the lectures, they will be streamed live and available on Carnegie's Livestream page and through our CarnegieAstro Facebook page.

We look forward to having you join us.
